This is Maggie and Isaac! They are an incredible husband and wife duo who have managed to combine their individual love of yoga into an experience they share. They have been practicing yoga together for a year and practice consistently five times a week. They practice every style: Ashtanga, vinyasa, inversions, yin, you name it, they love it all!
Isaac:
“I discovered yoga during a difficult time in my life three years ago. Yoga has allowed me to realign my mind, body, and soul. I have become more mindful, more aware of myself, my actions, and the effects I have on others and their effects on me. I’ve finally been able to slow down and accept the givens of life and live happily”
“Yoga has brought us closer together in a way that feels natural. As individuals, through practicing yoga, we become more grounded; together we are able to share that foundation. It feels like our experiences together, inside and outside of yoga, are deeper and richer.”
Maggie:
“I tried one yoga class when I was in university. I found it challenging and didn’t return to the class. A year and a half ago, Isaac encouraged me to try yoga again. I fell in love with yoga and related to the physical and spiritual beauty of the practice. I’ve noticed my body is more open and so is my mind. I am more calm when dealing with problems and I have found it easier to let go of the things that bother me”
“We have more common things to talk about. We practice at home and queue each other into different poses. We help each others individual yoga practices to grow. We are more connected to each other. We trust each other more”
Maggie and Isaac have reminded us that it is important to share the things you love with the people you love in whatever form fits into your relationships. They have shown us how taking care of ourselves, body and mind, benefits the people in our lives. They inspire us to grow together, to find common ground, and to explore new ways of communication and trust. It is simply beautiful.
